The Tecno Pova Neo is a low-cost smartphone that has been on the market in West Africa since December. The smartphone is now available in Asia, and it debuted in India today with a new Mediatek processor and greater RAM.
Tecno replaced the Helio P22 with the Helio G25, adding 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Everyone who purchases this entry-level smartphone will also receive a free set of headphones from the local division.
The difference between the Helio P22 and Helio G25 is negligible: both are built on a 12nm process and have the same octa-core CPU with eight Cortex-A53 cores running at 2GHz. The GPU is also the same, however, the Helio G25 is somewhat more power-efficient owing to an improved design.
Thanks to Tecno’s virtual function dubbed MemFusion, the RAM may be increased from 6GB to 11GB, according to the company. There is a slot for a micro SD card that provides up to 512GB of additional storage.
In India, the Tecno Pova Neo is available for INR 12,999. The Tecno Hipods H2 earphones that come with this phone cost INR1,499 if purchased individually. The phone will go on sale on January 22 at India’s chosen retail shops.
